Denver, Colo, Nov. 28/12.
Dear Nora,
Rec’d your message Mon. of this week. Was very much pleased to hear from you. We had a card this a.m. stating that a box of canned goods had arrived. Did you all send it. You never mentioned it in your letter. We had some minor snow Tuesday + Wed. it was a bit cold, but today it was much warmer again. With love Alma.

Miss Nora Bower,

(I found the two postcards above at the Pasadena Antique Mall, a warren of treasures tucked into the Paseo Colorado. The two postcards below are from the Los Feliz boutique Meowdy on Hillhurst. I like to stop in there because the owner is so nice. She currently has a surplus of iPhone 4 cases, so if you have one of those gizmos and are in LA, hurry on over to get a free case with purchase!)

This postcard reminded me of Hitchcock’s The Birds. And guess what…IMG_7869IMG_7870IMG_7871
