Snail's Postcard Post

This Week’s Clutch

I’ve come by so many postcards in the past few days!

In the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles is Wacko, a longtime emporium of all things kitsch and cultural, as well as a soap plant and art gallery. Yesterday, I obtained these from Wacko’s large postcard selection:

My photograph of the photograph does not do it justice. Here’s a better image that reveals how the postcard really looks:

And outside of Wacko I picked out these freebies:

I can’t wait to get into spooky postcards for Halloween!

(This clever postcard was actually a freebie outside of Book Soup on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood earlier this week, not outside Wacko.)

Note: I have no connection with The Breath Center, so this should not be taken as a recommendation for their services. I just like the postcard’s imagery.

Apparently this was only showing yesterday, but there must be another way to see it! Please comment if you know. There was a great piece in The Los Angeles Times about it today, although, frustratingly, it does not seem to be on their website (yet).

And from one of L.A.’s best and last bookstores, Book Soup:

I would bet my apron that these ladies are British.
