Snail's Postcard Post

New in the Performing Arts

Got a clutch of new postcards today from a local coffee shop, all performing arts-related.

I’ve been saving Lucha VaVOOM’s expertly campy postcards since the beginning. Sometime on a good ‘n’ trashy day I’ll devote a post to them.

And in the other corner, we have the “chamber music in historical sites”-devoted DaCamera Society teamed up with the American Contemporary Ballet:

I’m not a fan of the indie pop group dredg, but think this is a beautifully illustrated Arts and Crafts style postcard.

Quintessential early ’90s Sub Pop slowcore band Codeine is having a reunion tour. This reserved, black and white photograph absolutely represents their feel.

Detail from the back, advertising another reunited ’90s Sub Pop band, the truly indie rock Shiner.

A dance troupe postcard should capture such movement.
