Picked up a few new postcards this week.
First, I accompanied a friend getting a tattoo. At the tattoo parlor, this postcard for the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum was out for grabs:
Yesterday, I visited the Bergamot Station art gallery complex in Santa Monica, California, where I saw these two shows:
David O’Brien’s My Pet Doppelganger exhibition at the Richard Heller Gallery consists of C-print (chromogenic color photographic prints) swirling, motion-driven compositions of photographs of the artist’s friends. This one is called Friendship Drawing #wtfWTFwtf, but the postcard is too small to do the detailed work justice. Tomorrow, June 16, is the exhibition’s final day! If you’re in the area, you can stop in from 11:00-5:00.
Dietrich Wegner’s Skin Deep exhibition, featuring the photographic work Giving Tree, Apple Drop. On view Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00-6:00.
